CCSA Announces Women’s

Swimmer and Diver of the Week

 

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – North Florida’s Sara Evans has been named the CCSA Women’s Swimmer of the Week, while teammate Julia Moomaw has been named the CCSA Women’s Diver of the Week for meets competed Jan. 4-10, it was announced today by the League. 

 

Evans, a freshman from Lynn Haven, Fla., came up big for the Ospreys against League foe Radford this past weekend.  She swam the second leg of the 200-yard medley relay (1:53.64) that finished first, as well as, taking first in the 200 IM with a season-best time of 2:11.33.  Her time in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.26) was good enough to win by nearly three seconds, but with the meet already determined the event was exhibitioned.  

 

Moomaw, a freshman from Orlando, Fla., posted victories in both diving events leading the Ospreys to victory against Radford on Jan. 9, 141-82.  She bested her season-highs from last week in both events scoring a 246.23 in the 1-meter event and a CCSA-leading 261.53 in the 3-meter diving competition.  Moomaw picks up her second straight CCSA Diver of the Week plaudit, her third of the season.
