CCSA ANNOUNCES THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE

AS SITE FOR THE 2010 SWIMMING & DIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) announced today that the 2010 Swimming and Diving Championships will be held Feb. 18-20, 2010 at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatics Center on the campus of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn.

“We are very pleased to have such an outstanding host facility for the CCSA swimmers and divers at our 2010 Championships,” said CCSA Executive Director Ted Gumbart.  “Our championships showcase an excellent caliber of student-athletes, and the Allan Jones Aquatics Center on the University of Tennessee campus gives us a host site to match.  We appreciate the partnership with UT and look forward to another great set of CCSA Championships.”

The CCSA has also entered into an exclusive partnership agreement with the Knoxville Marriott Hotel as the official Championship Host Hotel for the 2010 Swimming and Diving Championships.  The Knoxville Marriott will offer preferred rates for teams and fans of the CCSA.  Fans can ask for the CCSA rate when making reservations.

This year’s event will be the CCSA’s third Championship meet.  Florida Gulf Coast is the reigning women’s team champion, while Davidson was the first women’s team champion in 2008.  College of Charleston has been the men’s team champion in both years.
