CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) - The Big South Conference and JDL Fast Track have announced that the Winston-Salem, N.C., facility will host the 2013 Big South Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships.  The meet is scheduled for Thursday-Friday, February 21-22, 2013.

"We are looking forward to having the 2013 Big South Indoor Track & Field Championship at JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem," said Big South Assistant Commissioner Chad Cook.  "Our goal is to provide our student-athletes the best Championship experience possible, and we are very impressed with the amenities that are offered at JDL Fast Track.  Our student-athletes and coaches are excited about competing in this beautiful facility next year."

"We are very excited to be selected as the host facility for the Big South's 2013 Indoor Track & Field Championship," added David Shannon of JDL Fast Track.  "We feel this is a great fit due to our central location for their member institutions, and look forward to the possibility of hosting their meets for years to come."

The Big South is the second NCAA Division I conference to select JDL Fast Track as the host facility for its Conference Championship in 2013.

ABOUT JDL FAST TRACK (www.jdlfasttrack.com)
JDL Fast Track, one of the premier indoor track and field facilities in the southeast, is the brainchild of two former Wake Forest University runners and current real estate developers, David Shannon and Craig Longhurst, who identified and fulfilled a need for an area indoor track facility for use by colleges, high schools, local track clubs and youth track organizations.  The privately owned, dedicated indoor track and field facility, which opened in January 2012, houses a 200‐meter oval track with a Mondotrack FTX surface -- the same surface that will be used at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.  Field event areas include two pole vault runways, two long/triple jump runways, one high jump apron and one throws area.  The facility also includes a 100‐meter warm‐up track, office and meeting‐room space, a training room, and hospitality suites for coaches' or conference officials' meetings at large events.
