Coastal Carolina, High Point Women's Teams Recognized for Academic Achievements


The Coastal Carolina and High Point women's cross country teams were recognized for outstanding achievements in the classroom this past season. as the two squads were named to the 2004 All-Academic Cross Country Team with Distinction by the Women's Intercollegiate Cross Country Coaches Association Tuesday, May 17.

The Coastal women's team was ranked among the top-50 nationally (47th) with a collective team grade point average of 3.408, while High Point's team had a collective 3.310 grad point average. This is the eighth consecutive season that Coastal Carolina women's cross country program, earned Distinction. Only 75 schools nationally earned the istinction honor this season and had a team grade point average of 3.25 and higher.
