VMI KEYDETS (1-8, 1-3 Big South) at PRESBYTERIAN COLLEGE BLUE HOSE (2-7, 1-3 Big South) • Bailey Memorial Stadium • 1:00pm • Big South Network presented by State Farm

THE SERIES:  This is the fifth meeting between the schools.  VMI leads the series, 3-1.

KEYDET KICKS:  The Keydets have defeated the Blue Hose the last three meetings ... Saturday's game is VMI's final road contest of the season, and the squad is looking to snap an eight-game overall road losing streak ... The Keydets are also looking to end their three-game losing skid in road Conference games ... In Big South games this season, VMI is third in passing offense at 217.0 yards per contest ... RB T.J. TALLEY is tied for third in the League in pass receptions in Conference games with 18.

BLUE HOSE BANTER:  Presbyterian College's lone win in the series was a 45-21 victory in Lexington on Oct. 13, 2007 ... The Blue Hose close out the season with two home games after playing six of their last seven on the road ... PC is 2-1 at Bailey Memorial Stadium this season, with the loss being a seven-point defeat to No. 9 Wofford ... Presbyterian College has lost two of its three Big South games by seven points-or-less ... CB JUSTIN BETHEL is two solo tackles away from breaking the Big South career record of 195.

COASTAL CAROLINA CHANTICLEERS (5-4, 2-3 Big South) at CHARLESTON SOUTHERN BUCCANEERS (0-9, 0-4 Big South) • Buccaneer Field • 1:30pm • Big South Network presented by State Farm

THE SERIES:  This is the ninth meeting between the schools.  Coastal Carolina leads the series, 5-3.

CHANTICLEER CROWS:  Coastal Carolina won last year's meeting to snap a two-game skid against CSU ...  Coastal's last win over the Bucs in Charleston was in 2007, a 41-2 win in the season-finale ... The Chanticleers conclude Big South action this weekend, the earliest that Coastal Carolina has wrapped up League play in the program's nine-year history ... The Chants are looking to avoid their first four-loss Big South season since 2008, and second overall ... In Conference games, Coastal Carolina ranks second in pass efficiency defense at 113.8.

BUCCANEER BULLETS:  The Buccaneers last defeated Coastal Carolina in 2009, a 30-23 home win.  Two of CSU's three wins over the Chanticleers have been at Buccaneer Field (2005 and 2009) ... Charleston Southern is looking to avoid its first-ever 0-5 Big South record ... The Bucs have scored 97 of their 134 points this season in the second half ( =72.3 percent) ... In Conference games, CSU ranks second in total defense, allowing 330.5 yards a game ... WR NATHAN PERERA has 25 receptions in Big South play, second-most in the League.

THE SERIES:  This is the fourth meeting between the schools.  Stony Brook leads the series, 2-1.

SEAWOLF SCREAMS:  Stony Brook is looking to start 5-0 in the Big South for the second-straight season ... Stony Brook carries a six-game win streak into Saturday's game, out-scoring its opposition 236-95 in that span ... The Seawolves have scored at least 42 points in all four Big South games, tying the League record for most 40-point Conference games ... Stony Brook ranks first in the Conference and fifth nationally in rushing defense at 77.8 ... SBU is 4-0 this year when BROCK JACKOLSKI and MIGUEL MAYSONET score a TD in the same game.

BULLDOG BITES:  Gardner-Webb's lone win in the series was a 34-33 victory in the inaugural meeting in 2008 ... The Runnin' Bulldogs are looking to win four consecutive games for the first time since 2006 ... GWU has not turned over the ball during its current three-game win streak ... RB KENNY LITTLE is third in the Big South with 106.7 rushing yards per game ... The Gardner-Webb defense is allowing Conference opponents just 113.8 rushing yards a contest ... LB MARTY PATTERSON is averaging a League-best 13.8 tackles in Big South games.

#15/16 LIBERTY FLAMES (6-3, 4-0 Big South) idle

  • Liberty is idle this week and returns to action next week in the Big South Football Championship game.
  • The Flames can clinch at least a share of the League title this week with a Stony Brook loss.
  • Liberty is 5-0 in the Big South for the first time since 2009 and third time overall.
  • In Conference games, the Flames are second in scoring offense (40.0) and second in scoring defense (19.4).
  • QB MIKE BROWN enters next week's action needing 289 passing yards for 6,000 in his career.
