Big South Conference football continues tomorrow night, Thursday, Nov. 3 with Gardner-Webb hosting Virginia State at 6:00pm, followed by three Conference games on Saturday. THURSDAY, NOV. 3
Virginia State Trojans (5-4) at GARDNER-WEBB RUNNIN' BULLDOGS (3-5) • Spangler Stadium • 6:00pm • Big South Network presented by State Farm
- This is the first meeting between the schools, and is GWU's first-ever Thursday night home game.
- Gardner-Webb is looking to win three consecutive games in a season for the first time since 2008.
- The Runnin' Bulldogs rank third nationally in FCS with 9.13 tackles-for-loss per game.
- In his last two games, TE TREYMAINE SCHLEY has nine receptions for 119 yards and two touchdowns.
- LB MARTY PATTERSON needs seven tackles to become the 10th player in Big South history with 300.

THE SERIES: This is the fourth meeting between the schools. Stony Brook leads the series, 2-1.
SEAWOLF SCREAMS: Stony Brook is looking to start 4-0 in the Big South for the third consecutive season ... The Seawolves are 5-3 in November since joining the Conference in 2008 ... Stony Brook has scored 40 points in a Big South-record four consecutive games (45.25 average), and owns a 29.3 average margin of victory in Conference games this season ... RB MIGUEL MAYSONET is four yards away from his second-straight 1,000-yard rushing season ... SBU, winners of five-straight, has never won six consecutive games in a single-season.
BUCCANEER BULLETS: Charleston Southern has lost two of its three Big South games by seven points-or-less, and has held its three Conference opponents to an average of 286.0 yards of offense thus far -- second-best in the League ... WR MIKE DAVIS has caught a touchdown pass in each of the past two games ... QB RICHARD MOUNCE has been the Buccaneers leading rusher the last two outings. He has also thrown for 362 yards and three TD passes since replacing injured starter MALCOLM DIXON two games ago.

KEYDET KICKS: The Keydets last defeated Liberty in 2005, a 10-7 victory in the Conference opener on Oct. 1 in Lynchburg -- VMI's lone win over the Flames as Big South opponents ... VMI is playing its fourth nationally-ranked program this weekend, its most Top 25 opponents since 2006 ... RB CHAZ JONES needs 54 rushing yards to move into 22nd-place on the Big South's all-time list ... Jones has rushed for a touchdown in three consecutive games ... LB A.J. GROSS is fifth in League history with 317 career total tackles.
FLAMES FACTS: Liberty's five-game win streak over VMI is the fourth-longest against a Big South member in Conference annals ... BLUE HOSE BANTER: Presbyterian College's lone win in the series was a 41-34 overtime victory in Conway on Oct. 02, 2007 ... Saturday's game is the final road game of the season for the Blue Hose. PC is looking to snap a six-game road losing streak this weekend ... The Blue Hose are averaging 247.7 rushing yards in Big South games -- second-highest in the League ... DB JUSTIN BETHEL (188) needs eight solo tackles to break the Big South's all-time record of 195 ... RB LANCE BYRD needs one touchdown to match last year's team leader.
CHANTICLEER CROWS: Saturday's contest marks the 100th game in Coastal's football history (60-39, =60.6 winning percentage) ... The Chanticleers are 19-6 ( =76.0 percent) in its history in November regular-season games ... Coastal Carolina is looking to avoid its first four-loss Big South season since 2008 ... The Chanticleers have never lost four consecutive games in a single-season ... RB TRAVIS SMALL has been Coastal's leading rusher the past three games ...
