Big South Conference football continues this Saturday, Nov. 3 with three League games, including Coastal Carolina at Gardner-Webb in the Big South's TV "Game of the Week" on ESPN3.  A printable version of this preview is available to the right and below.

COASTAL CAROLINA CHANTICLEERS (4-4, 2-1 Big South) at GARDNER-WEBB RUNNIN' BULLDOGS (2-6, 1-2 Big South) • Spangler Stadium • 1:00pm • ESPN3

THE SERIES:  This is the 10th meeting between the schools.  Coastal Carolina leads the series, 7-2.

CHANTICLEER CROWS:  The Chanticleers are 4-0 against the Runnin' Bulldogs in Boiling Springs ... Coastal Carolina is seeking its third-straight Big South road victory Saturday ... Coastal has rushed for more than 200 yards in three-straight games (252.7 average) and is 41-5 all-time when rushing for 200 yards in a contest ... QB ARAMIS HILLARY has thrown a TD pass in 10 consecutive games and has gone 180 pass attempts without an interception ... LB QUINN BACKUS is second in the Big South with 11.2 tackles per game.

BULLDOG BITES:  Gardner-Webb won last year's meeting in Conway, a 26-24 victory that snapped a seven-game losing streak to the Chanticleers ... The Runnin' Bulldogs are looking to win back-to-back Big South home games for the first time since 2003 ... QB LUCAS BEATTY leads the League with three 300-yard passing games ... With 33 receptions, TE SETH CRANFILL needs two catches to break the Big South single-season record for most receptions by a tight end ... LB TANNER BURCH is the Big South's top tackler with 12.8 stops per game.

THE SERIES:  This is the 20th meeting between the schools.  Liberty leads the series, 17-2.

BUCCANEER BULLETS:  Charleston Southern last defeated Liberty in 2005 ... The Buccaneers are looking to win four consecutive games as well as three-straight Big South games for the first time since 2009 ... CSU is second in the Big South in rushing offense with 206.9 yards per game, and is averaging 329.0 rushing yards the past three games ... QB MALCOLM DIXON is 16-of-20 passing for 307 yards and four TDs during the Bucs' three-game win streak ... RB TEDDY ALLEN has rushed for 269 yards and six TDs in his last two outings.

FLAMES FACTS:  Liberty has won the last six meetings with CSU ... The Flames have not lost consecutive Big South games since 2006 when LU dropped its first two League contests that season ... Liberty carries its Conference-record 16-game home Big South win streak into Saturday's game ... WR PAT KELLY needs 111 receiving yards to become the seventh player in Conference history with 2,000 in a career ... PK JOHN LUNSFORD is tied for the Big South lead with four field goals made from at least 40 yards.

THE SERIES:  This is the fifth meeting between the schools.  Stony Brook leads the series, 4-0.

KEYDET KICKS:  The Keydets are looking to snap a 13-game road losing streak, as well as end a 6-game skid in Big South road games ... QB ERIC KORDENBROCK needs 18 completions for 400 in his career, which would tie him for 10th all-time in Big South history ... Kordenbrock also is 283 passing yards away from moving into the Big South career Top 10 in that category ... DL CHARLIE JONES is second in the Big South with 8.0 tackles-for-loss ... The Keydets are tied for second in the Big South for most quarterback sacks (14).

SEAWOLF SCOWLS:  Stony Brook can clinch at least a share of the Big South championship with a win Saturday, as well as the outright title with a victory AND losses by Coastal Carolina AND Liberty ... Stony Brook carries an 11-game home win streak into the contest ... RB MIGUEL MAYSONET needs one TD to tie the Big South career record of 47, and 132 rush yards to break his Big South season record of 1,633 ... WR KEVIN NORRELL is 22 receiving yards away from breaking the Big South single-season record of 1,081.

PRESBYTERIAN COLLEGE BLUE HOSE (2-7, 0-4 Big South) idle

  • Presbyterian College is idle this week and returns to action Nov. 10 against Coastal Carolina at home.
  • LB DONELLE WILLIAMS leads PC with 83 total tackles and ranks third in the League with 9.5 per game.
  • WR/KR MICHAEL RUFF is now 10th all-time in Big South history with 3,287 career all-purpose yards.
  • RB DEMARCUS ROUSE has scored a PC Division I record nine rushing touchdowns this season.
  • RB LANCE BYRD needs eight rushing attempts for 500 in his career.
