Big South Announces Women's Golfer of the Week
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) - Campbell sophomore Kaylin Yost (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) has been selected as the Big South Choice Hotels Women's Golfer of the Week for events played March 9-14, it was announced today by the Conference office.
Yost recorded her first collegiate victory and was the lone golfer in the 101-player field to finish under par at the JMU Eagle Landing Invitational (par 72, 6,282 yards). She opened the event with a collegiate career-low round of 5-under-par 67 -- the lowest round of the tournament. Yost played the back nine holes at 6-under, including birdies on each of her final three holes. She then produced back-to-back 74s to finish the event at 1-under 215, one stroke better than a trio of golfers as she led the Camels to their eighth top-5 finish in nine tournaments this year. Yost also notched a tournament-leading 15 birdies and played the par-five holes at four-under.
