CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) - Coastal Carolina quarterback Aramis Hillary (North Augusta, S.C.) has been named the Choice Hotels Big South Football Offensive Player of the Week, while Coastal Carolina linebacker Quinn Backus (Greenwood, S.C.) has been selected as Defensive Player of the Week for games played the second week of the regular-season.  Liberty's Kevin Fogg (Raleigh, N.C.) and Coastal Carolina kicker Alex Catron (Apopka, Fla.) shared Special Teams Player of the Week honors, and Stony Brook running back Jamie Williams (Hamilton, N.J.) is The Crons Brand Freshman of the Week.

Hillary went 20-of-27 passing for a career-high 292 yards and two touchdowns in leading the Chanticleers to a 47-45 triple-overtime victory over Furman.  He completed his first eight passes, scored the game's first touchdown with a 1-yard plunge and finished the day with 303 yards of offense.  In the second half and overtime, Hillary was 9-of-12 for 160 yards and threw two 20-yard passes on CCU's final drive to set-up the game-tying field goal.  In the first overtime, Hillary completed a 35-yard pass on the second play to set up a score, and fired a 25-yard TD pass in the second overtime to answer Furman's score.  In the third OT and on second down, Hillary tossed a 26-yard scoring strike to give Coastal the final lead of the game.

Backus led Coastal Carolina with 11 tackles, including five solo stops and one tackle-for-loss, in addition to a team-high two pass break-ups.  He made one of the critical plays of the game late in the third quarter when he recovered a fumble that led to an eventual Coastal touchdown and 17-6 advantage.

Fogg had 177 return yards against Norfolk State, including a 77-yard punt return for a touchdown that gave the Flames their final lead of the night at 24-19.  He also had a 67-yard kickoff return that set-up Liberty's second touchdown of the game.  In addition, Fogg denied two Norfolk State two-point conversion attempts with interceptions in the end zone, keeping the Flames within a field goal both times.

Catron tallied 13 points on three field goals (38, 35, 45) and four PATs in helping the Chanticleers to their triple-overtime victory at Furman.  Playing on a wet field, Catron made a career-long 45-yard field goal as time expired to force overtime, and made both of his extra-point attempts in the extra sessions.  In the first quarter, Catron made a 38-yard field goal to give CCU a 10-0 lead, and with 4:12 remaining in the game, he made a 35-yarder to put Coastal ahead, 22-12.

Williams led the Stony Brook rushing attack with 144 yards on just nine carries while scoring three times against Pace.  In just his second collegiate game, he averaged 16.0 yards a carry and scored from 11, 5 and 42 yards out.
