Big South Announces Cross Country Runners of the Week
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) - VMI's Noah Hagos and Adrienne Cuff of Charleston Southern have been named the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Men's and Women's Cross Country Runners of the Week, respectively, the League announced today.
Hagos, a senior from Woodbridge, Va., crossed the line in 25:59 to take home first place at the 8K Furman Invitational over the weekend. His time was just 12 seconds off the course record as his top finish fueled the Keydets to the team victory at the event.
Cuff, a junior from Fort Mill, S.C., ran a season-best 19:16 on the 5K at the Furman Invitational over the weekend. Her time was good for seventh-place overall at the event.
Men's Honorable Mentions:
Alex Solis, Charleston Southern - Was the 2nd collegiate finisher at the Furman Invitational with an 8K time of 26:26.
Women's Honorable Mentions:
Michelle Church, VMI - Finished 8th with a time of 19:17 at the Furman Invitational.
