Big South Announces Additional Men's Basketball TV Games


CHARLOTTE, N.C. ( - The Big South Conference today announced that the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) will broadcast two men's basketball Conference games this season, increasing the total number of televised regular-season League games to 20.  Meanwhile, another five games involving Big South members have been picked up for broadcast and increases the Conference's season total to 47 televised games in 2012-13.

MASN will air the Feb. 2 Liberty at Winthrop game live at 7:00pm, and the Feb. 16 VMI at Campbell contest live at 2:00pm.  The original game times for both games have been changed to accommodate the live television broadcasts.  MASN is available on DirecTV (channel 640) and DISH Network (432), as well as the following cable outlets in Virginia: Charter, Chatmoss Cable, Comcast, Cox, Giles Craig, Harron Metrocast, Lumos and Verizon.  Visit for a complete list of cable and satellite providers that carry the network.

In addition to the MASN broadcasts, the Nov. 9 Gardner-Webb at North Carolina game will air live on Fox Sports South/Fox Sports Carolinas, while the Western Carolina at UNC Asheville contest the same night will be televised locally on WMYA-TV in Asheville/Spartanburg.  Presbyterian College has two of its non-Conference games now slated for broadcast -- Nov. 20 at Wisconsin (ESPN3) and Dec. 29 at South Carolina (CSS).  Campbell's Dec. 19 game at Gonzaga will now be televised live on KQH-TV/Root Sports.

The Big South previously announced that ESPN3 would carry eight men's basketball Conference games in 2012-13 as part of a new Saturday "Game of the Week" package beginning in January, with ESPNU televising two League contests this season.  ESPN3 will carry the Big South Men's Basketball Championship Semifinals for the first time, with this year's games set for Saturday, March 9.  ESPN2 will air the Big South Championship game live on Sunday, March 10 at 12:00pm.
