CHARLOTTE, N.C. (BigSouthSports.com) - Radford senior Petra Dajevic (Zagreb, Croatia) has been selected as the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Women's Tennis Player of the Week, while Gardner-Webb's Alice Hopkins (Birmingham, England) has been named The Crons Brand Freshman of the Week for matches played April 2-8, it was announced today by the League office.

Dajevic finished the week with a perfect 2-0 record at both No. 1 singles and No. 3 doubles, leading the Highlanders to two victories.  She started her week pairing up with Gemma Valls to defeat Julia Aguilar and Lakisha McDougald of N.C. Central, 8-0, before topping Olesya Palko in singles, 6-2, 6-4.  A day later in the sweep of UNC Asheville, Dajevic teamed up with Valls to take down Amryn Soldier and Amie Cloer, 8-0, while also earning a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Emily McNall in singles.

Hopkins went 2-0 at No. 2 singles and 1-0 at No. 2 doubles to help the Runnin' Bulldogs to a 2-0 record last week.  She scored a crucial three-set victory over Natsuko Takayanagi at Charlotte, helping Gardner-Webb knock off the 49ers, 4-3.  Hopkins also teamed up with Yasmin Doost for a doubles victory at Charlotte, winning 8-3.  In the 4-0 win over UNC Asheville, Hopkins earned a singles win against Amryn Solider, 6-3, 6-0.
