CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) - High Point senior guard Nick Barbour (Danville, Va.) has been named the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Men's Basketball Player of the Week, while Charleston Southern guard Arlon Harper (College Park, Ga.) has been named The Crons Brand Freshman of the Week for games played the final week of the regular-season, it was announced today by the Conference office.

Barbour scored 44 points in 32 minutes against Campbell last week to lead the Panthers to a 98-60 victory over the Camels. His performance broke High Point's Division I record for most points in a game, and it was two points shy of matching the Big South single-game mark.  Barbour's 44 points was the third-highest single-game scoring output in Conference history, and it was the first 40-point game by a Big South player since the 2006-07 season.  He was 11-of-17 from the field, 7-of-10 from three-point range and 15-of-17 from the charity stripe, and added two blocked shots.

Harper averaged 14.0 points, 3.5 steals and 2.5 rebounds for the Buccaneers.  He was 7-of-16 from the field, 4-of-7 from three-point range and went 10-of-14 from the free throw line.  Harper had nine points, four steals and three rebounds at VMI on Thursday, then tallied 19 points, 4-of-5 treys and three steals in Saturday's win at Radford.
