The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) recently announced Radford women’s soccer players Lisa Lubke and Mary Wiley were each named to the 2011 Scholar All-East Team.

Each third-team selections, Lubke maintains a 3.7 GPA in Exercise, Sport & Health Education, while Wiley carries a 3.5 in Biology.

Lubke ended her prestigious career with 267 saves, third all-time in Radford history, recorded 13 shutouts (T-5th) and had a career record of 27-18-6.  In addition, Lubke logged more than 4,700 minutes in goal and had a career goals-against average of 1.05.

A three-year starter up top for Radford, Wiley converted four goals, two game-winners and had three assists to her credit in the 2011 banner year.

It was the third and fourth time this postseason that the team or a Radford player has been recognized academically on a national level.  Megan Rhodes was named Capital One Academic All-District and the Highlanders also earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the third consecutive year.
