The National Soccer Coaches Association of
America (NSCAA) recently announced Radford women’s soccer players Lisa Lubke
and Mary Wiley were each named to the 2011 Scholar All-East Team.
Each third-team selections, Lubke maintains a 3.7 GPA in Exercise, Sport &
Health Education, while Wiley carries a 3.5 in Biology.
Lubke ended her prestigious career with 267 saves, third all-time in Radford
history, recorded 13 shutouts (T-5th) and had a career record of 27-18-6.
In addition, Lubke logged more than 4,700 minutes in goal and had a
career goals-against average of 1.05.
A three-year starter up top for Radford, Wiley converted four goals, two
game-winners and had three assists to her credit in the 2011 banner year.
It was the third and fourth time this postseason that the team or a Radford
player has been recognized academically on a national level. Megan
Rhodes was named Capital
One Academic All-District and the Highlanders also earned the NSCAA Team
Academic Award for the third consecutive year.
