Big South Announces Cross Country Runners of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) - Gardner-Webb's Michael McClay and Adrienne Cuff of Charleston Southern have been named the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Men's and Women's Cross Country Runners of the Week, respectively, the League announced today.

McClay, a junior from Lawrenceville, Ga., took first-place at the Charlotte Duals with a time of 15:52 on the 5K course over the weekend.  The field included runners from Wofford, Charlotte and Limestone.

Cuff, a senior from Fort Mill, S.C., turned in a time of 18:34 on the 5K course at the College of Charleston Invitational last weekend.  Her time was just 11 seconds off of her program record as she finished second overall.  As a team, the Lady Bucs placed second.

Men's Honorable Mentions:
Tyre Hines, Charleston Southern - Placed fourth at the College of Charleston Invitational with a personal-best time of 27:13 in the 8K event.
Ryan Farnan, Radford - Won the Lenior-Rhyne Invitational with a time of 26:38 on the 8K course.  The win marked his first career individual collegiate title.

Women's Honorable Mentions:
Hannah Scheren, Radford - Placed fifth at the Lenior-Rhyne Invitational with a time of 20:20 on the 5K course.
