CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) - Winthrop's Steve Rivard and Jeanne Stroud have been named the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Men's and Women's Cross Country Runners of the Week, respectively, the League announced today.

Rivard, a sophomore from Goose Creek, S.C., took home the South Carolina Intercollegiate Individual Title with a time of 27:21 on the 8K course at The Citadel Invitational.  His second-place overall finish fueled the Eagles to a first-place team finish at the event, their third-straight team title this season.

Stroud, a sophomore from Charleston, S.C., finished second overall at The Citadel Invitational with a 5K time of 18:48 over the muddy and humid course.  As a team, Winthrop finished second at the event.
