CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) - Liberty's Zac Edwards and Jennifer Klugh have been named the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Men's and Women's Cross Country Runners of the Week, respectively, the League announced today.

Edwards, a redshirt-junior from Roanoke, Va., posted his first individual win in a Flame uniform with a win at the Big South Preview/Coastal Carolina Invitational meet over the weekend.  The transfer from South Alabama finished the 8K course in 24:42 to finish 15 seconds ahead of second-place.  His top-finish fueled the Flames to the team championship at the event.

Klugh, a redshirt-junior from Centerburg, Ohio, was the top Big South finisher in her season debut at the Big South Preview/Coastal Carolina Invitational.  She covered the 5K course in a time of 18:09, finishing fourth behind three runners from No. 8 Duke.

Men's Honorable Mentions:
Richard Taylor, Presbyterian College - Posted career-best 29:03 8K at the Big South Preview/Coastal Carolina Invitational.
Patrick Crawford, High Point - Finished second at the Big South Preview/Coastal Carolina Invitational with an 8K time of 24:57.
Evan Niciphor, Coastal Carolina - Was the top freshman finisher at the Big South Preview/Coastal Carolina Invitational with a time of 25:46 on the 8K course.  He finished ninth overall.
Adam Freudenthal, Winthrop - Won the Winthrop Invitational with the largest margin of victory in 17 years (41 seconds) as he completed the 8K course in 24:51. 

Women's Honorable Mentions:
Gabby Lesieur, Presbyterian College - Ran the fifth-fastest Blue Hose 5K since 2003 as she posted a time of 20:39 on the 5K course at the Big South Preview/Coastal Carolina Invitational.  Her time ranks No. 16 all-time in PC history.
Kayleigh Perry, High Point - Finished third at the Big South Preview/Coastal Carolina Invitational with a 5K time of 18:23.
