CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) - Campbell senior Vaita Guillaume (Papeete, Tahiti) has been selected the Choice Hotels Big South Men's Golfer of the Week for events played the final week of the regular-season, it was announced today by the Conference office.
Guillaume won the Coca-Cola Wofford Invitational (par 72, 6,648 yards) with a 12-under 204 (69-64-71). It was his fourth title of the year, the most in a season by a Campbell golfer during its Division I history. Guillaume broke the tournament records for 54-hole total (204) and score to par (-12) to win the event by one stroke. He led the field with 20 birdies and a 4-under-par mark on the par-4 holes. In Monday's second round, he tied the school and tournament 18-hole record with an 8-under 64. His performance helped Campbell to its fifth Top 3 finish of the season.
