CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) - Coastal Carolina junior Sebastian Soderberg (Ojersjo, Sweden) has been selected the Choice Hotels Big South Men's Golfer of the Week for events played March 15-21, it was announced today by the Conference office.
Soderberg claimed medalist honors at the Furman Intercollegiate (par 72, 6,994 yards) with a 12-under par 204 (68-68-68). He was second after two rounds and birdied his first three holes in the final round en route to his first career victory. His play helped the Chanticleers tie for third in the 21-team field and finish ahead of four Big South members. Soderberg shot in the 60s for three rounds of a tournament for the first time in his career and his 12-under par was also a career-best. In addition, his 54-hole total of 204 is both a career low and ranks as the fifth-best 54-hole score in CCU history.
