CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) - The Big South Conference today announced its men's basketball television package for the 2012-13 season will feature eight live regular-season Conference games exclusively on ESPN3 as part of a new Saturday "Game of the Week" package beginning in January.  The eight are among a total of 42 games involving the Big South that will be broadcast this season.

ESPNU will also televise two regular-season Big South games for the first time, and 18 overall regular-season Big South games as well as the Semifinals and Finals of the VisitMyrtleBeach.com Big South Men's Basketball Championship will be televised this season.  ESPN3 will carry the VisitMyrtleBeach.com Big South Men's Basketball Championship Semifinals for the first time, with this year's games set for Saturday, March 9.  ESPN2 will air the Big South Championship game live on Sunday, March 10 at 12:00pm.  Below is the Big South's exclusive 10-game regular-season television package:

ESPN3 is ESPN's live multi-screen sports network, a destination that delivers thousands of global sports events annually and accessible online via WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app and through ESPN on Xbox LIVE to Gold members.  It is currently available to 73 million homes at no additional cost to fans who receive their high-speed Internet connection or video subscription from an affiliated service provider.  The network is also available at no cost to approximately 21 million U.S. college students and U.S.-based military personnel via computers connected to on-campus educational networks and on-base military networks. 

During the course of the season, Big South members will appear on an array of networks, including the Big Ten Network, Pac-12 Networks and various Fox Sports regional networks, among others.  Also, Liberty University's Flames Sports Network will televise 13 Liberty men's basketball games this season.  Additional broadcasts/networks may be added to the Conference schedule at a later date, and will be announced when finalized. 

In addition, the Big South Conference will again video stream live all home men's basketball games not televised in 2012-13 on its subscription-based broadband channel, The Big South Network presented by State Farm.  The current television schedule involving the Big South's men's basketball programs appears below.
