Last Time Out Senior Brock Jackolski scored three touchdowns in the second half to help bring the Stony Brook football team back from an 18-point deficit to beat Albany, 31-28, in front of a sellout LaValle Stadium crowd. Junior Dominick Reyes ended the game with an interception in the end zone to prevent an Albany touchdown.
Opponent No. 1 Sam Houston State (11-0) is led by Kansas State transfer Tim Flanders' 1,095 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns. He also leads all Bearkats receivers with 404 yards. Richard Sincere has 725 rushing yards and nine scores. Brian Bell has passed for 1,607 yards and 14 TDs. Dax Swanson is tied for third in FCS with seven interceptions. Sam Houston State recorded one of FCS' six wins over FBS schools after beating New Mexico, 48-45, in overtime.
