May, 2013- Make A Green Move

Green up your move-out this year in a few simple ways. Plan ahead and save your cardboard boxes. Or, give them to a friend to use. Recycle the extra papers and packing materials you would normally throw away. Don’t just trash your old furniture; sell it or donate it – it’s tax deductible! Not only will these techniques help the environment, they’ll also help you remove some clutter from your new place.

April, 2013- Wear Green On Your Sleeve

No one likes it, but everyone has to do it. Laundry is a task that not only can spoil your afternoon, but it can spoil the environment as well. This Earth Day, you can help the latter with a few simple turns of a knob. For example, 90% of the energy used in washing clothes comes from heating the water. Reduce your energy consumption by simply choosing a cold wash. Air-drying clothing is also an easy green option, and it can save you money. Air drying uses no energy and extends the life of most clothing. Go ahead, turn your clothes green on Earth Day.
